Ana de Armas’ Ballerina Battles John Wick as ’80s Karate Legends Return: A Five-Star Streaming Lineup!

The small screen is set to explode with a highly combustible mix of action, nostalgia, and psychological suspense this week. Streaming giants, including Starz, Netflix, and Hulu, are preparing a feast of newly released films designed to satisfy every cinematic craving. Headlining the list are high-stakes revenge thrillers, a long-awaited martial arts revival, and a dark Nicolas Cage vehicle, ensuring that your streaming queue is packed with top-tier content from September 25 onwards.
The week kicks off on Starz on September 25 with the streaming debut of the John Wick spin-off, Ballerina. Directed by Len Wiseman, the film features Ana de Armas as the deadly assassin Eve Macarro, who is on a relentless mission to avenge her father’s murder. The path to justice is fraught with peril, including an intense confrontation with John Wick himself, played by the iconic Keanu Reeves. After a successful theatrical run that grossed $137 million globally, this action-packed thriller is now ready to land on your screen.
Adding a heavy dose of nostalgia and martial arts mastery is Karate Kid: Legends, which premieres on Netflix on September 27. Following the success of the Cobra Kai series, this film brings together two beloved figures: Ralph Macchio’s Daniel LaRusso and Jackie Chan’s Mr. Han. The new story focuses on Li (Ben Wang), a teenager struggling to fit in after moving to New York. His fortunes change when he enters a karate tournament in an effort to help his friend Mia save her family’s struggling business.
Switching genres entirely, viewers seeking a deeply unsettling experience can find The Surfer on Hulu starting September 25. This psychological thriller, directed by Lorcan Finnegan, stars Nicolas Cage in a riveting, unique performance. The narrative follows a man’s descent into torment as he struggles to surf at Luna Bay with his son, making it a compelling study of obsession and mental distress.
Finally, the world of killer androids expands on Peacock and romance blossoms on Apple TV+. M3GAN 2.0 streams from September 26, pitting Gemma (Allison Williams) against a new rogue android, AMELIA, in a fight for survival and control. For a more emotional watch, All of You arrives on Apple TV+ on September 26. This sci-fi romance drama, starring Imogen Poots and Jenna Coleman, explores the tender and complex secret love between two best friends, offering a perfect counterpoint to the week’s intense action slate.
