Transform Extra Ketchup Into Swift Marie Rose Sauce Sensation!

Transform the last remnants of ketchup in your bottle into a flavorful Marie Rose-style dressing with a few simple ingredients. This quick recipe combines mayonnaise, chili sauce, lemon juice, and a splash of your favorite spirit to create a creamy and zesty sauce in just minutes—without the need for extra dishes.

To make this Ketchup Bottle Marie Rose Sauce, you’ll need 4–5 tablespoons of mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon of sweet vermouth, vodka, brandy, or cognac, and 1–3 tablespoons of sriracha, Tabasco, or another chili sauce, depending on your spice preference. Also, include a small squeeze of lemon juice, flaky sea salt, and freshly ground black pepper. The key is to use a nearly empty ketchup bottle containing about 1–2 tablespoons of ketchup. A pinch of paprika can be added for an extra touch if desired.

Begin by leaving the remaining ketchup in the bottle, ensuring there’s enough space to add the other ingredients. Pour in the mayonnaise, your chosen spirit, chili sauce, and lemon juice directly into the bottle. Season the mixture with a little salt and a generous amount of black pepper. Secure the lid tightly and shake the bottle vigorously until the ingredients are well combined and the sauce achieves a smooth and creamy texture.

After mixing, taste the dressing and make any necessary adjustments. You can add more chili sauce for additional heat, more lemon juice for extra acidity, or more mayonnaise to create a milder and creamier sauce. Once satisfied, squeeze the finished sauce directly over your dish. If desired, sprinkle a little paprika on top to enhance both color and flavor.

This versatile dressing pairs well with a variety of dishes, including prawns, avocado, lettuce, and cucumber in a classic prawn cocktail. It’s also perfect for drizzling over burgers, salads, roasted vegetables, or crispy avocado fries. The recipe is particularly handy when you have a small amount of ketchup left in the bottle and wish to repurpose it into something new rather than discarding it.
